Нишански уређај "Каира" је кориштен и на неким верзијама Су-17, Су-24 и Су-25.
Читао сам да није био баш ни поуздан.

Sim.a ::Po tekstu se vidi da je i kao jednomotorni pokazao žilavost u borbi (pogoci Stingera koji ga nisu oborili). Nije možda direktno vezano za temu ali kad to čujemo šta je dovelo do te famozne odluke da se koriste samo dvomotorni avioni u RV Rusije?

Da 27-ca je pokazala izuzetnu zilavost u Afganu ali to je ponajvise zahvaljujuci taktici borbene upotrebe tamo .Naime za razliku od klasicnog jurisnika Su-25 koji je ciljeve napadao pri brzinama 600-800 km/h i cesto jedan te isti cilj po vise puta iz vise pravaca ( otuda povecanje rizika od obaranja a pogotovo kad se zna pravac prvog a kamoli drugog naleta i zbog manje brzina u prilazu ) MiG-27 je ciljeve napadao pri vecim brzinama ( transsonicnim ) 800-1000 km/h poput naseg Orla .

Jos nesto ,po tvrdnjama mnogih pilota 27ca se izuzetno pokazala u jos necem a to je odlicna stabilnost i upravljivost u jako niskim letovima a pri velikim brzinama ( ovim pomenutim ) i to je koristeno u Afganu .Prilaz u kanjonima i usecima ,iznad dolina i visoravni na ekstremno malim visinama i pri jako velikim brzinama ,tada mudzahedini na visim kotama planina cesto nisu ni uocavali ( culi ) 27 ce u prilazu koje bi onda u propinjanju ili naglom penjanju i zaokretima raketirali ili bombarodvali zadane ciljeve .

Su-24 i Tu-22M su akcije bombardovanja vrsili naravno sa vecih visina zbog smanjenja rizika mada je Su-24 pogotovo sposoban za takve akcije ( u rangu recimo Tornada ) ...Dobro se MiG-27 pokazao tamo i o tome ima dosta gradiva ...

Ovo oko uvodjenja samo dvomotornih aviona u VVS bolje reci oko toga da su ostali samo dvomotorni a izbaceni jednomotorni je aktuelizovano pocetkom 90-tih .Inace o tome se i ranije razmisljalo pogotovo sredinom 80-tih kad su u VVS planirali da sa novim MiG-29M i Su-27M zamene u VVS-FA ne samo lake frontovske lovce MiG-21 i 23 vec i frontovske bombardere MiG-23BN,MiG-27 i Su-17.

Samo da pomenem da je jos i ranije u VVS-FA planirano tj razmisljalo se da 29 -ka bude zamena kako za MiG-21/23 tako i za MiG-23B/BN te MiG-27 i Su-17 u ulozi lovca-bombardera .Tada je jos u fazi razvoja za njega planiran poseban radar `Komar` koji je za razliku od N019 `Rubin` imao posebne modove ( borbene rezime ) V-Z ...

A pogotovo se to planiralo sa MiG-29M prvom visenamenskom varijantom 29-ke .Sve je to ipak ostalo samo na nivou planiranja jer znamo sta se kasnije desilo tacnije 1991/92 i dalje ...Jednomotorni borbeni avioni VVS su ostali jos koju godinu ali onda otisli u penziju .Glavni razlog je bio borbena zilavost i tako je to porcenjeno jer Afgan pa ni Cecenija kad je LPA (trupna /objektna PVO ) u pitanju ipak nisu NATO .

Evo malo detalja o TV -sistemu `Kaira` uz napomenu da Su-17M4 nije imao taj uredjaj kao ni Su-25,oni su imali sistem `Klen` laserski obelezivac bez TV -sistema .

Kaira comprises a TV camera in the upper aperture which has an enhanced contrast system to give low light capability, increasing the range in poor visibility conditions. Below this, in the lower aperture, is a second TV camera co-located with a second generation laser rangefinder/designator. The pilot designates the target, which is then tracked using correlation techniques. It is also possible to attack non-visible targets whose location is known in advance and programmed into the computer.

Laser range is typically 7-8km. Stabilised scanning, with limits of ±20° in azimuth, +6 to -130° in elevation. Displays on an IT-23T monochrome CRT display in the cockpit.

Unlike Klen it allowed use of both laser guided missiles and laser guided bombs.

Kaira proved a very troublesome system. It was severely overweight, which led to the removal of the scabbed-on cockpit armour, but even this didn't entirely rectify the situation. Reliability was initially poor, and it was considered too difficult to use for the average pilot. At one stage MiG-27Ks were lined up at the factory as the customer refused to accept delivery until the problems were resolved. The problems were largely ironed out, but the MiG-27K was reserved for experienced pilots who could master the complex task of flying and target location/designation simultaneously. The Su-24M was much easier in this respect as it had separate pilot and navigator.




Kaira-24M has greater coverage in elevation than Kaira-1

Citat:Kaira-24M is fitted to the Su-24M, and is very similar to Kaira-1. It was initially intended to place it in the nose, where the Su-24 Chaika system had been, but was relocated to an belly location near the centre of gravity. This decreased the effect of oscillations and bending on the accuracy of the system.



Kaira-24 has a field of view of +/-35° in azimuth and +6°/-160° in elevation. Maximum range of laser ranging is 12km.

Attempts to integrate Kaira on the Su-17M4 failed.

A second generation laser rangefinder/designator that was mounted on the MiG-27M, in preference to the Kaira of the MiG-27K which was deemed too expensive for widespread deployment. Unlike Kaira it did not feature a TV channel, meaning that the target had to be acquired visually and designated by the pilot on his HUD. Maximum range of laser rangefinding is 10km.

Downwards elevation was limited to -35° , which limited armament to laser guided missiles only.


Kasnije su jurisne platforme Su-25 i Ka-50 ( Su-25T kao operativni ) dobili nove TV- uredjaje niskog nivoa osvetljenosti ( tzv LLLTV ) za upotrebu nocu i u SMU ( magla ,niska oblacnost,zamagljenosti itd ) naziva `Merkur` razvijen pocetkom 80-tih ali otom potom .. To je vec za druge teme ...
