A least 110 Su-25 were modernized to SM or SM3
84 Su-25SM was made.
Of them:
- 5 were lost in wars (Syria: 1 plane shot down. Georgia 1 plane shot down, 3 damaged and retired)
- 2 at least were lost in accidents
- 3 at least Su-25SM habe been ungraded to Su-25SM3 (pilot batch)
This means as much remaining 74 Su-25SM
This is 110-84 = 26 Su-25SM3 have been modernized from Su-25 or Su-25BM
With the other 3 Su-25SM3 upgraded from Su-25SM: Total: at least 29 Su-25SM3

Koliko znam, Rusi su planirali da više od 100 aviona modernizuju na SM standard. Trenutno, VALJDA, imaju oko 34 sm i oko 25 sm3.
2006-2010: 43 modernized Su-25SM (for three squadrons + pilot batch + replace losses)
2011-2013: 36 Su-25SM (for three squadrons)
2014: 5 Su-25SM for Kant (Kirguistan)
Total 84 Su-25SM
The plan is to modernize all Su-25 fleet
Currently there are 10 combat squadrons of Su-25, this is 120 airplanes.
Including replace the losses and pilot batchs, probably 135 or more.
Basically 6 squadrons were upgraded to SM tandard
Then, other 4 squadrons rest for upgrade to SM3 (more than 50 airplanes including pilot batch)
After complete the SM3 modernization of those 4 squadrons, the plan is upgrade all Su-25SM to SM3
It could also be that the regiment 899º ShAP was reestablished in Buturlinovka iin the not too distant future
Then there would be over 160 modernized Su-25 aircraft
