Russia Develops New 'Sub-Killer' Version of Be-200 Amphibious Aircraft
Citat:The Russian Navy has announced plans to order the purchase of an anti-submarine version of the Be-200 amphibious aircraft by 2020, a high-ranking Navy official told the Russian news agency RIA Novosti.
"The Navy's command has decided that it's necessary to purchase an anti-submarine configuration of the Be-200 amphibious aircraft by 2020 to search for, detect and destroy [enemy] submarines," the official said.

Over 50 military pilot crews to take part in pilot competition Aviadarts-2015 in Russia
Citat:More than 50 pilot crews from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and China will take part in the international pilot competitions Aviadarts-2015, spokesman for Russia’s Air Force Igor Klimov told TASS on Monday.
He said six more countries will be present as observers. "Competitions will be held in seven disciplines by the types of aircraft, including fighter jets, bombers, attack aircraft, military transport planes and helicopters. Participants will pilot their types of aircrafts," he said.
More than 100 pilots will perform flights in 12 types of planes and helicopters from three airfields in Ryazan, Bryansk and Kaluga regions. The aircraft to take part in the competitions will include JH-7, Su-24M, Su-25, Su-27, Su-30SM, Su-34, MiG-29SMT, Il-76, Tu-22M3 planes and Ka-52, Mi-35 and Mi-8 helicopters.
The international stage of the Aviadarts-2015 competition will be held as part of international army games in late July - early August.

Russia’s Defense Ministry to set up new air assault group in Siberia
Citat:Russia’s Defense Ministry has started forming a new large air group, which will be based in East Siberia, Eastern Military District spokesman Alexander Gordeyev said on Tuesday.
The air assault regiment will be based at the aerodrome Step in the Trans-Baikal Territory, the spokesman said.
The air regiment with its Sukhoi Su-25 (NATO reporting name: Frogfoot) attack aircraft will fly from the Step airfield near Chita whose modernization will take no more than a year, the spokesman said, adding the aerodrome would be a unique logistics center.

Русија формирала Ваздушно-космичке снаге
Према указу председника Русије од 1. августа постављене задатке је почео да испуњава нови род оружаних снага — Ваздушно-космичке снаге, саопштио је током секторског саветовања министар одбране Русије генерал армије Сергеј Шојгу.
„Формирање ВКС путем уједињавања Ратног ваздухопловству и Снага ваздушно-космичке одбране је оптимална варијанта усавршавања система ваздушно-космичке одбране“, рекао је он.
„Сада су под једним руководством обједињене авијација, снаге противваздушне и противракетне одбране, космичке снаге и средства оружаних снага“, навео је Шојгу.
„То омогућава, пре свега, да се сконцентрише у једне руке читава одговорност за формирање војно-техничке политике за развој снага за решавање задатака у ваздушно-космичкој сфери. Под два, тешњом интеграцијом се повећава ефикасност њихове употребе, а под три, обезбеђује се поступни развој система ваздушно-космичке одбране земље“, нагласио је министар.
Ваздушно-космичке снаге, као нови вид Оружаних снага Русије почео је да функционише 1. августа 2015. године. У њиховом саставу ће бити три рода: Војно-ваздушне снаге, Противваздушна-Противракетна одбрана (ПВО-ПРО) и Космичке снаге.

Prvi put kad sam pročitao, ja mislio da se radi o nekoj grešci, kakav Baltimor u Rusiji. Kad ono stvarno ima... Baš me zanima kako li je dobio to ime.
