Mr Li Yuhai Executive Vice President of AVIC presents FC-31 model visiting Pakistani CAS Air Marshal Suhail Aman. Formal Offer for J-31 and also presention on J20. PAF Chief in China to discuss upgradation of JF-17, plans to acquire 200 fighters.
Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, who is on a five-day official visit to China on Wednesday visited 24 Air Div at Tianjin, China.

On his arrival, he was received by Senior Colonel Wang Hongyan, Commander 24 Air Div. He was given briefing about the working of 24 Air Div and Chinese latest J-10 fighter aircraft and its capabilities, said a PAF press release issued here.

He also visited the workshops and laboratories and appreciated the work standards being maintained at the industry. He also witnesses the ongoing modifications on JF-17 Prototype -5 aircraft and simulator at CADI.

The Air Chief also met with the PAF personnel working at CADI and lauded their contributions and asked them to keep on working with same zeal and devotion. The Air Chief is on a five-day official visit to China. –APP

Citat:The EOTS-89 resembles the Electro-Optical Targeting System (EOTS) of the Lockheed Martin F-35, which combines Forward Looking Infrared and Infrared Search and Track (IRST) capabilities. The similarity includes the use of two tracking mirrors and a flat-facetted optical window, with bottom fuselage placement just aft the radar radome. Such a system was so placed on the large mock-up of the FC-31 seen in November 2014.

Shown placed on the front starboard side of the J-31 canopy, A-Star's EORD-31 serves as an IRST, similar to the OLS-27 series used by the Russian Sukhoi Su-27 fighter. However, instead of a spherical dome cover, the EORD-31 is flat and facetted. Chinese press reports claimed the system may be able to detect a Lockheed Martin F-22A at 110 km and a Boeing B-2 at 150 km.

Senzor po njima vidi motore F-22 na forsazu sa daljine od 110km dok motore B-2 vidi sa daljine od 150km iako nemaju forsaz i odraz im je daleko manji jer su uvuceni u trup uz ozbiljne mere smanjenja odraza. Deluje mi da malo vise kake Mr. Green

Moguće je da oba aviona nisu na forsažu i da J-31 leti iznad njih... U tom slučaju imalo bi nekog smisla to što tvrde.

Pa u tom slucaju bi F-22 na forsazu video sa jos vece daljine zato sumljam u napisano jer svi uvek navode maksimalni domet sto odgovara situaciji kada je senzor iza mete na slicnoj visini a ona koristi forsaz.

Shenyang FC-31 fighter performance 'leaked' online

Citat:The posting on Chinese websites of possible performance data for the Shenyang Aircraft Corporation (SAC) FC-31 fifth-generation fighter indicates it could pose a commercial threat to Western and Russian fighter manufacturers.

A modified version of SAC's J-31 technology development fighter, an FC-31 model made its second appearance at the Beijing Air Show in mid-September. However, as at its debut appearance at the November 2014 Airshow China at Zhuhai, the Aviation Industries Corporation of China (AVIC) did not provide data on the aircraft.
