DARPA je u saradnji sa USSOCOM objavila razvoj eksperimentalne letelice pod oznakom X-76 koja bi omogucila poletanje i sletanje kao i dosadasnji helikopteri a tokom leta koristila mlazne motore postizuci brzine preko 400 cvorova( 750 km/h). Cilj je omoguciti performanse za koje je trenutno potrebno koristiti avione a avioni zahtevaju piste.

-Achieve cruise at speeds exceeding 400 knots
-Hover in austere environments
-Operate from unprepared surfaces

"For too long, the runway has been both an enabler and a tether, granting speed but creating a critical vulnerability," said Cmdr. Ian Higgins, U.S. Navy, serving as the DARPA SPRINT program manager. "With SPRINT, we're not just building an X-plane; we're building options. We're working to deliver the option of surprise, the option of rapid reinforcement, and the option of life-saving speed, anywhere on the globe, without needing any runway."

Phase 2 will be followed by a flight test program in Phase 3, which is planned for early 2028.

Airbus Helicopters H-140

Airbus je danas predstavio svoj novi helikopter pod oznakom H-140. U pitanju je helikopter u klasi do 3 tone koji je prvenstveno dizajniran i namenjen za potrebe medicinske sluzbe.

Novi H-140 je razvijen na bazi H-135 uz primenu novih idejnih resenja i sugestija postojecih korisnika H-135. Novi dizajn sa visom repnom sekcijom i vecim vratima omogucuje bolju pristupacnost razlicitim vrstama nosila za pacijente, a velika klizna bocna vrata bolji pristup trupnom delu, u koji moze stati do 6 putnika. H-140 ce biti pogonjen sa dva Safranova motora Arius 2E sa 700 ks sa dvostrukim digitalnim FADEC i petokrakim rotorom od ranije primenjenim na H-145. Takodje kao i njegovi prethodnice iz novije generacije od H-135 do H-170 i H-140 ce biti opremljen Heliox avionikom.

Uvodjenje u operativnu upotrebu se ocekuje tokom 2028. ali vec prvog dana su 4 razlicite sluzbe narucile vise od 28 novih H-140.

Nemacki ADAC i OAMTC su narucili 10, po 5 svaki.

Dominating the company�s sizable display here at the Paris Air Show, the T925 forms part of the company�s growing rotorcraft family, which also includes the T625 Gokbey twin-engine utility helicopter and the company�s two attack helicopters: the T129 ATAK, currently operational in Turkey and with export customers; and the T929 ATAK 2, the first prototype of which made its first flight in April.

Turkish Aerospace has been developing its concept for a heavy helicopter for several years. It was previously understood to be largely focused on military requirements, potentially replacing larger helicopters in service with Turkey�s military including its Airbus Cougar and perhaps the Russian-supplied Mi-17s flown by the country�s military police, the Jandarma, however the red scheme in which the aircraft is presented suggests Turkish Aerospace is also seeking a commercial role for the platform.

Commercial missions envisaged for the T929 include passenger transport, offshore energy support, search and rescue, and VIP tasks.

The 20-meter-long, twin-engine rotorcraft will likely lean heavily off Turkish Aerospace�s experience in developing the ATAK 2, and probably use the same dynamic systems and engines. The ATAK 2 prototype is currently using the Motor Sich TV3-117 turboshaft in flight-testing, although Turkish industry plans to develop its own family of indigenous turboshafts to power these aircraft.

Prvi letni prototip novog italijanskog helikoptera AW-249, koji ce zameniti A-129.

Citat:As we just mentioned, the AW249 will be tailored to the future battlespace. In order to adapt to the rapidly evolving scenarios, the helicopter will fuse open systems architecture to allow quick upgrades and growth capabilities, state-of-the-art communications and an advanced battlespace management system. Also, because of the increasing need to team with other platforms in network-centric operations, the AW249 will feature manned-unmanned teaming (MUM-T) capabilities.

The interoperability and situational awareness of the helicopter will be boosted by C2 (Command and control) and C4 (command, control, communications, and computer) systems, together with Software Defined Radios for multi-band Line of Sight (LOS) e Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) communications, Variable Message Format and Link-16 data links, photo and video transmission systems (like ROVER).

The situational awareness will also take advantage of obstacle and altimetric profile detection systems, as well as all the standard navigational aids, day, night and thermal vision systems and helmet mounted displays (HMD). The sheer amount of info will be reportedly displayed on large area displays (LAD) in both cockpits, as shown in concept images published in 2017.

The helicopter is powered by a pair of GE Aviation CT7-8E6 (T700) turboshaft engines, rated at 2,500hp (1,860kW) each and also includes dynamic components from the AW149 transport helicopter. The AW249 has been designed with a maximum take-off weight (MTOW) within the range of 7,500 � 8,000 kg (about the double of the AW129�s MTOW), with the ability to operate in both hot-and-high and cold weather conditions, with a cruising speed of 140kts and a three-hour endurance. The helicopter has been designed also with ship-borne operations in mind.

Thanks to its MTOW, the AW249 features a weapon payload which is reportedly doubled compared to the Mangusta. Six wing stations will be able to load air-to-ground and air-to-air missiles, unguided/guided rockets and external fuel tanks, in addition to the nose mounted 20 mm cannon. Like the cannon and the targeting system, the AW249 will also inherit the Spike anti-tank guided missiles.

Survivability is also at the top of the design priorities, with both ballistic tolerance (e.g. redundancy, separation of critical systems, dry run capability of drive system, armoured seats, ballistic tolerant fuel tanks) and crashworthiness (e.g. crashworthy airframe, seats and fuel tanks) features being integrated. The helicopter will feature a state-of-the-art self-protection suite, with the Italian Army reportedly selecting the fully digital Elettronica ELT-162 Radar Warning Receiver, the Elettronica ELT/577 Quiris Directed Infra-Red Counter Measure System (DIRCM) and the Leonardo Multi Aperture InfraRed (MAIR) Missile Warning System (MWS).

The aircraft also has some low detectability features to reduce both the radar cross section and infrared signature. Although it is not a stealth helicopter, these features will help to make the detection of the AW249 more difficult for the adversaries. However, the prototype doesn�t appear to have IR exhaust filters on the engines, which might be added later on during the flight test campaign. The helicopter might also include features from international Future Fast Rotorcraft programs.

AC332 AHL - rusko-kineski teski transportni helikopter

Rusija i Kina potpisale su ugovor o razvoju novog teskog transportnog helikoptera.
Projekat nosi oznaku AC332 AHL. Sa ruske strane, tu je korporacija "Вертолеты России", a sa kineske Aviacopter.
Rec je o vazduhoplovu koji se razmatra i pregovara vec deceniju, ugovor je potpisan i cekao je na odobrenje obe vlade.

Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft-Competitive Prototype(FARA)

Program je namenjen za zamenu iz naoruzanja vec povucenih OH-58D Kiowa Warrior. Trenutno tu rupu popunjavaju AH-64 i Shadow bespilotne letelice.
Prvi prototip je planiran za 2023. a odluka o prizvodnji za 2028. ali bi vojska da ubrza proces ako je ikako moguce.

Prva kompanija koja je predstavila svoj predlog je Bell, pod nazivom Bell 360 Invictus. Maketa/Mock-up ce biti predstavljen na AUSA-2019.

Арктическая модификация вертолета Ка-65 "Минога" создается по заданию Минобороны для действий в условиях Крайнего Севера. Планируется применение данных вертолетов с борта боевых кораблей, арктических аэродромов, морских баз типа Арктический трилистник.
Как пишет издание, для работы в условиях сверхнизких температур вертолет будет значительно доработан. На него будет установлена дополнительная энергоустановка для запуска основного двигателя в северных условиях, система отопления и система спасения экипажа, новая навигационная система, позволяющая с высокой точностью определять координаты без использования GPS/ГЛОНАСС.
Новый вертолет Ка-65 "Минога" должен заменить в ВМФ вертолеты Ка-27, стоящие на вооружении флота с 80-х годов прошлого века. Вертолет создается по "камовской" схеме, т.е. с двумя соосными винтами. Предполагается, что вертолеты пойдут на флот в противолодочной, транспортной и десантной версиях, в отличии от разработанных специально для применения на УДК вертолетов "Катран", созданных на базе Ка-52 "Аллигатор", имеющих более узкую специализацию.
Разработка вертолета началась в 2015 году. В 2016 году сообщалось, что разработка нового вертолета может занять до 10 лет.
