Prosto re�eno, svaka raketa bi se trebala mo�i lansirati sa zemlje, samo je pitanje i to za svaki pojedina�ni tip rakete, koliko bi takvo lansiranje bilo efikasno.
Naravno tri su osnovna (govorim samo o mehanici leta) faktora koji �e skra�ivati domete takvog lansiranja:

1) nulta strartna brzina �e naravno vrlo osakatiti mogu�nosti
2) borba sa gustim slojevima atmosfere �e to jo� vi�e unazaditi
3) motor se o�ekuje da je prilago�en (radni tlakovi u motoru i ekspanzija u mlaznici) lansiranju i radu u odre�enom visinskom podru�ju pa je lansiranje na zemlji ne�to bi taj motor dosta ograni�ilo

Sve tri to�ke su zapravo povezane sa osnovnim pitanjem, �ta je u tom motoru i kako taj motor radi, a to naravno ne znamo. Mo�emo naga�ati �ta bi trebalo biti da se dobije maksimum, pod o�ekivanim uvjetima kori�tenja, recimo 7-8km visine i brzina lansiranja 0,8-0,9M i ovako na prvu rekao bih da je potrebno da motor radi �to du�e da nabije finu brzinu, recimo 15-25 sekundi i rekao bih da nema buster fazu, a ako i ima, ne ne�to �estoko i jako.
CY-400 je tako�er 400mm, sli�na raketa, mo�da i dijele neke komponente, samo �to se ova lansira sa zemlje i mora biti tu nekog bustera.

Ako CM400 nema buster nego jednore�imski dugoradni motor, onda bi lansiranje sa zemlje bilo vjerovatno sa efektom kao kad su Phoenix (AIM-54) poku�avali tako lansirati pa dohvatili jedva nekih 30km, a normalno leti mnoooogo dalje i sa vrlo velikom brzinom koju motor raketi mo�e dati ovisno o parametrima lansiranja

Stamey did not elaborate in the interview on what a �kinetic self-protection� system might entail, but a design capable of launching some type of miniature missile is one especially likely option. The Air Force has already been working on exactly this kind of capability, at least on the experimental level, for years now.
