Nissan refuses to release further details, but says the company has already secured orders for the Impact valued at $150 million, plus options worth another $100 million. Negotiations with other potential customers continue.

Powered by an electric motor, the air vehicle has a 4.8m (15.7ft) wingspan, and can be operated up to a service ceiling of 15,000ft.

Zanimljivo firma Elbit ne imenuje različite kategorije UAS različitim imenima več im dodeljuje samo različite brojeve.
Pa tako izrađuju Hermes kategorije Small (90), MediumSmall (450) i Large (900), te Skylark kategorije Mini (I) i Small (II i 3).

IAF looks to increase endurance of Heron TP

Citat:The Israeli air force (IAF) and Israel Aerospace Industries are working to “significantly” increase the endurance of the Heron TP unmanned air vehicle from its current 36h.

Work is ongoing to introduce additional sensor capability, the reason the IAF requires additional endurance.

By 2020 the IAF's "White Eagle" squadron will triple the number of the medium-altitude, long-endurance UAVs it operates. Heron TPs will be delivered with the increased endurance and operational systems will be retrofitted to the same standard.

Citat:Elbit Systems is to supply its Hermes 900 UAS to an unnamed customer in the Latin American region under a contract announced on 25 September. The contract is valued at $70 million.
The customer will use the Hermes 900 integrated with an intelligence gathering system for homeland security applications.
Elbit Systems will supply the system within the next 12 months.
