Francuzi i Nemci izgleda ne mogu oko niceg da se dogovore

“ Француска би могла да изађе из француско-немачког пројекта тенка MGCS — трећег великог билатералног одбрамбеног програма који је пропао након што је ловац FCAS прошле недеље отписан.

Извршни директор компаније Rheinmetall каже да Француска разматра смањење буџета на мање од половине, а пројекат је од 2017. године исплатио само 25 милиона евра.

Француско-немачка одбрамбена сарадња се распада.”

CAPINT combines an enhanced chassis derived from the German Leopard 2A8 tank with an ASCALON unmanned turret equipped with an ASCALON 120mm smoothbore autoloaded gun. The chassis, powered by a 1500 HP diesel engine with excellent power-to-weight ratio for a superior mobility, is developed by KNDS Deutschland while the unmanned turret is developed by KNDS France.
CAPINT, short for CAPacité INTermédiaire (Intermediary Capability), is being proposed to provide a stopgap replacement for the French Army's ageing Leclerc MBT fleet due to the uncertain future of the Franco-German Main Ground Combat System (MGCS) program to develop a next-generation tank.
The CAPINT MBT will include set of capacities allowing to answer new requirements of the battlefield as regards firepower, C-UAV capacity, protection, open digital architecture and of connectivity with robotised wingers. More than a single tank, it will be a multiplatform system around a central platform and robotic wings, whose architecture and open digital core will ensure scalability and adaptability.
KNDS is developing the system with the aim of delivering the first units in the 2030s.
