Citat:On 4 and 5 September 2022, units from the Regional Command West of the NATO-led KFOR mission conducted exercise “STRONGHOLD.” The scenario involved a riotous crowd blocking the road in front of a KFOR base called “Camp Sparta,” in Deçan/Dečani. The exercise featured the activation of a Quick Reaction Force platoon belonging to the Italian 🇮🇹"Papa" company
based at Camp Sparta, in Deçan/Dečani, together with deployment of two reinforcement platoons, inserted by helicopter.
One from the "Sierra" Company of North Macedonia 🇲🇰 and one from the Albanian 🇦🇱 "Charlie" company. KFOR units succeeded to disperse the crowd and to restore normality in the area, in accordance with the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 mandating KFOR to ensure a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all the people of Kosovo.

Citat:#KFOR Greek 🇬🇷 COY Guard conducted an Immediate Reaction Force training. This kind of exercise ensures an immediate reaction to emergency situations inside Camp Film City, Pristina.
These trainings are conducted in order to maintain the already high levels of awareness of the Greek Guard Coy during their guard duty in the base.

Citat:The Medal Parade ceremony and the Transfer of Authority of the Albanian 🇦🇱 Contingent place today at Camp Villaggio Italia, HQ of #KFOR’s Regional Command West (RC-W).
The Commander of the RC-W expressed his satisfaction, to the 30 soldiers of the first Albanian contingent to take part in the Western Kosovo Area of responsibility, for the work well done and wished a safe return to their families.
The ceremony was presided by the Commander of the RC-W Colonel Ivano MAROTTA, also present was the senior of the Albanian Contingent Colonel Razije MEHMETI, the Military Attaché Colonel Altin KURTI, and the Deputy Commander of RC-W LTC Flora DAKO of the Albanian Army.

Citat:Multinational training has been conducted by the Kinetic Battalion of the #KFOR Regional Command West at Camp Villaggio Italia.
According to the scenario the platoons 🇭🇷🇮🇹🇲🇰 received the task to organize and conduct a vehicle check point, in order to deter activities causing a threat to a safe and secure environment. The platoons also deployed mobile check points in five main crossroads of the base and conducted real check procedures of the vehicles occasionally moving inside the camp.
Such trainings aim to maintain the high standards of reactivity and operational readiness required from all KFOR units in line with the UN Mandate of 1999.

Citat:The #KFOR Hungarian 🇭🇺 Tactical Reserve Battalion have accomplished a training in Camp Novo Selo.
During the training, the soldiers practiced different regulations and techniques related to air transport. Among other things, how to approach different types of helicopters that can be used in KFOR and how to carry out a quick take-off and landing. The training was supervised by the UH-60 Black Hawk U.S. 🇺🇸 crew from the Regional Command-East Aviation Detachment.








Citat:Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Battalion (ISR BN) is a multinational task organized unit operating in #KFOR. It is a composed of personnel from several different nations, representing a full complement of contributing #NATO and partner countries.
It was established to support KFOR’s mission by providing and building situational awareness through the use of specialized assets such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). The ISR BN possesses a range of UAVs that are employed as aerial surveillance assets, providing the ability to deliver accurate reconnaissance to inform KFOR HQ decision making and situational awareness. The benefit of such assets is the geographical span they can cover and the swiftness with which they can be deployed, enabling timely and accurate reconnaissance of areas of interest.





Citat:Yesterday, the NATO-led KFOR mission conducted a complex crisis response exercise called “Golden Sabre” 🇦🇹🇭🇺🇮🇹🇵🇱🇹🇷🇺🇸🇦🇱 in cooperation with EULEX, in Camp Novo Selo.
It focused on the integration of the different assets and capabilities of #KFOR and tested the ability of the various contingents contributed by #NATO Allies and partners to successfully respond to any threat that might endanger freedom of movement and security throughout Kosovo.





Citat:The “Piemonte Cavalry Regiment 2nd” 🇮🇹 of KFOR’s Regional Command West (RC-W) celebrated St. Maurice, Patron Saint of the Alpine with a series of mountain training activities in Western Kosovo.
“Piemonte Cavalry” thus paid homage to the Mountain Troops and the glorious 'JULIA' Alpine Brigade, to which it proudly belongs since 2014 as an Exploring Unit. The activity involved selected teams from the “Piemonte Cavalry Regiment 2nd”, the “1st San Marco Regiment” and foreign RC-W contingents, who conducted reconnaissance and subsequent marches along trails, equipped and shored routes in the Rugova Valley.
In addition to maintaining operational capability, the activity also involved the knowledge and monitoring of their own territory, as part of operation joint enterprise.

Um die Einsatzbereitschaft des 47. Österreichischen Kontingents im KOSOVO (KFOR) zu erhöhen und die Zusammenarbeit mit internationalen Kräften zu vertiefen, absolvierte die österreichische Infanteriekompanie gemeinsam mit ungarischen Soldaten das „Fire Phobia“ Training. Citat:Today, after active coordination with all parties, Kosovo Force - KFOR, KFOR Regional Command East has increased its presence in Jarinje for preventive security reasons. This increase is due to the alleged possible presence of organized criminal groups within the protestors.
It is always important that all people participating in a protest express their opinions peacefully, avoiding unproportioned violence, aggressive postures and behaviors that could be misunderstood and perceived as provocation or unnecessary violence.

During the training, Soldiers of the 1-131st Aviation Regiment, Task Force Yellowhammer of the Alabama Army National Guard, secured pallets of bottled water to UH-60 helicopters and transported them from Camp Bondsteel to KFOR Soldiers on Camp Noting Hill near Leposavic, Kosovo.
