Syrian Army defeats ISIS at the Deir Ezzor Military Airport
Citat:For the last two days, ISIS has been attacking the southern gates of the Deir Ezzor Military Airport, where they were attempting to weaken the Syrian Arab Army’s dilapidated fortifications and enter this desired army installation. Despite their best efforts, ISIS was still unable to breach the Syrian Arab Army’s defenses at the southern gates of the Deir Ezzor Military Airport;
instead, they were forced to retreat from the Al-Alam Farms (launching point for their attack) after suffering heavy casualties during this failed endeavor.
According to a military source from the Syrian Arab Army’s 104 Airborne Brigade of the Republican Guard, the Syrian Armed Forces killed over 60+ ISIS fighters in the last 48 hours at the Deir Ezzor Military Airport.
The source added that among the dead ISIS fighters at the airport were several foreigners from Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Morocco, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, Pakistan, and Chechnya.
The Syrian Armed Forces are now in full control of the Deir Ezzor Military Airport’s southern perimeter after recapturing the Al-Alam Farms.
