But there is another parameter, which OnAlert.gr had revealed from its mission at the Elbit Systems facility in Israel. This is the Predator Hawk ER – Extra Range, the increased-range version intended to carry the PULS range significantly beyond the current 300-kilometre limit.
The exact maximum range of this weapon is not made public. It remains classified. The information gathered by OnAlert.gr in Israel, however, that it would be much larger than the 300 km of the current Predator Hawk. This is the element that is of particular operational importance for Greece. The big advantage is that Predator Hawk ER is designed to be exploited by the same family of launchers.
Therefore, its integration does not require the creation of a completely new weapon system, but further expands the capabilities of a platform that will already be in the Greek arsenal. As OnAlert.gr had revealed, during the presentation in Israel, the intention to release the Predator Hawk ER had been transferred to the Greek side, when its development is completed. And it seems that this decision will be turned into an act within the coming years.
