Northrop Grumman given contract to manufacture 3 RQ-4s for Japan
Citat:Northrop Grumman has been given anearly $490 million contact to build three RQ-4 Global Hawk Block 30i air vehicles for Japan.
Work will be performed in San Diego and is expected to be completed by Sept. 1, 2022.

Global Hawk spy plane to arrive in September

Produced by the California-based defense firm Northrop Grumman, the RQ-4 Block 30 Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) Global Hawk is one of the most advanced intelligence-gathering platforms.
Seoul confirmed the upcoming arrival of the Global Hawk aircraft after the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) under the U.S. State Department announced July 30 its approval of the $950 million (1.15 trillion won) sale of the unmanned spy drone to South Korea.

J.Koreja ocekuje isporuku prvog
S. Korea to acquire at least one Global Hawk from U.S. this month: Source
Citat:A source within the South Korean military has confirmed that, among the four R-Q4 Global Hawks Seoul ordered from the U.S., one is set to arrive in South Korea this month.
The remaining three are due in the country by early next year at the latest.
The spy plane is touted as a powerful U.S. strategic asset.
Since it's an unmanned aerial vehicle, it can stay airborne for up to 40 hours at a time at an altitude of up to 20 kilometers.
And since it uses radar technology to collect data on moving objects on the ground it's unaffected by weather conditions.
With the deployment of the Global Hawks, the planes are expected to greatly enhance South Korea's capability to survey North Korea's military actions.
