Jeste, Misirac, "fanta"
Eh, imali su i "Sinalco", al' je Max Keith morao da napravi neko novo piće da bi uposlio fabriku koja je do tada pravila kolu.
Yes that's right, Fanta. Most people don't know that Fanta was a German invention during WWII. I think around 1940/41 Atlanta decided to pull Coca Cola out of Germany. The owner of Coca Cola in Berlin, Max Keith, created Fanta ( which came from the German word Fantasie or in english fantasy ) in order to keep his company in business. The bottle is very crude, dated 1941. The glass maker who made the bottle also made glass mines during WWII. The Coke bottle is the early version which dates to around the mid-late 1930s. Says Coca Cola Shutzmarke. Their's another later version that I don't have, 1940/41, that states the drink contains lemonade and caffeine, yuck! Just think of how many German soldiers drank from these bottles. I've also got another bottle called Afri Cola, looks like a Afrika Korp styled bottle with embossed palm tree, desert, etc etc. Don't know much about it but I think they're still in business in Germany. So next time you see the Fanta girls drinking Fanta, just think if things had gone the other way they'd be wearing German uniforms!
