Nova verzija MHTK, malo su ga uvecali

Citat:The original MHTK solution for EAPS S&T was just under 68.6 cm in length, approximately 40 mm in diameter, and with a launch weight of about 2.2 kg.

Intended to deliver greater agility, the new design sees an increase in the length of the airframe to just over 71.1 cm, but with no change in weight, and a slightly sharper front end. Four additional fins have been added to the rear of the missile - forward of, and cropped at 45º to the original four fins - with their trailing edge, and the leading edge of the original fins, more or less aligned. Both sets of rear fins are aligned with the forward canard assembly. Chris Murphy, Lockheed Missiles & Fire Control Business Development lead for MHTK said that the modifications improve by 30-40% MHTK's agility to meet anticipated needs for increased capability beyond what was envisioned at the beginning of the S&T programme.

Juzna Afrika, Denel udruzen sa Rheinmetall bi da integrise svoju raketu sa Skyshield.

Neka kopija Iron dome, da vidimo dali je i toliko dobra?
Pa amerikanci su i finansirali ovaj projekat i ucestvovali u njemu, naravno da imaju uvid u sve karakteristike "iron doma" a mogu ga i jednostavno uzeti da hoce.
Uz to jedna napomena, C-RAM nije samo "samostalna jedinica" (niti onaj stariji) C-RAM je sastvani dio mornarickog sistema "AEGIS"...samo dio prilagodjen za kopnenu upotrebu i itekako se umrezuje ako ima potrebe.

Final development will most likely require a launch customer, which Rheinmetall does not have as yet. “We are confident to get this product into the market,” RDM CEO Norbert Schulze said. “It is a unique system.”

The Cheetah missile is a completely new system with its own radar seeker that will have a proximity warhead, although it will use technologies that have been developed for other Denel Dynamics missiles. Guidance is via a data uplink with terminal homing via the missile’s radar seeker. Rheinmetall is aiming for the missile to be able to defeat BLU-109 ‘bunker buster’ bombs out to a range of 6 km. RDM CEO Norbert Schulze told defenceWeb the Cheetah’s warhead is unique and is being patented.

The Cheetah will be available in containers of up to sixty missiles and can be integrated into mobile platforms such as trucks or armoured vehicles.
