Indija kupuje 220 nemackih Skyshield NGADG
Citat:Indian Armed Forces have initiated a process for procurement of 220 units of Next Generation Air Defense Gun (NGADG) systems.
As per the reports, this is the first tranche of guns that will be acquired to address the immediate requirement and later more units will be acquired.
Ministry of Defence (MoD) has now extended the date for submission of bid for this requirement till June this year.
It is believed the extension is based on the request of an Indian Public sector company that is in process of finalizing a joint venture with a German company Rheinmetall.
As German company Rheinmetall has already offered Skyshield Air Defence Gun system to India under Make in India initiative and they have offered to tie up with Public Sector Giant BHEL.

Indijci ponovo pokrecu tender za nabavku
Indian Army restarts air-defence guns procurement
Citat:The Indian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has outlined a plan to procure air-defence (AD) guns for the Indian Army.
A request for proposal (RFP) issued by the MoD on 8 October said that the plan features the acquisition of 220 towed AD guns and about 142,000 rounds of ammunition.
According to the RFP, the proposed AD gun will replace the ‘in-service' army guns and will be deployed in all types of terrains.
The RFP added that the AD gun should not weigh more than seven tonne in a firing position. The system has a barrel elevation requirement of between -5° and +80°, and it must be fitted with an automatic ammunition-handling system or autoloader.
