Aegis Ashore Missile Defense System Team Arrives At NSF Deveselu

Citat:The first group of Sailors charged with manning Aegis Ashore Missile Defense System (AAMDS) Romania recently arrived at Naval Support Facility (NSF) Deveselu, bringing the site one step closer to operational status.
NSF Deveselu is the host installation for Phase 2 of the European Phased Adaptive Approach (EPAA) to ballistic missile defense. The Aegis Ashore Missile Defense System has many of the same components used at sea on guided-missile destroyers and cruisers, to include the Aegis Weapon System, Vertical Launch System, and SPY-1 radar, but it can only fire the Standard Missile-3 (SM3).

Norway's NATO Missile Defense Aid Irks Russia

Not only has Norway confirmed its participation in the NATO system, but it also agreed to elevate its annual spending on defense from its current 1.43 percent of gross domestic product to the NATO target of 2 percent.
"Norway is a committed member of NATO and it is necessary for us to participate in, and commit to, this part of the strategy. We now need to examine what our contribution and participation will be," said Prime Minister Erna Solberg.
It remains to be seen if this "commitment-review" will result in Norway providing ballistic missile sites to NATO, including warship platforms, or if participation will be limited to capital funding contributions.

Znači, u slučaju belaja, Deveselu će 1-1 biti prvo mesto u našoj široj okolini, koje će svetleti u mraku dugo godina...

Samo 320 km. od Beograda, baš lepo. Vreme je da se polako pripremamo na radioaktivne padavine.

A kome bi to moglo biti cilj pa da svetli?
Ako misliš na Rusiju, onda će da svetli svašta a najmanje će nam jedna baza biti problem ili misliš da bi to bio samo ograničen preventivni napad na NATO bez odgovora koji bi povukao da se i ostalo popara.
Nadam se da će od ovog postrojenja imati bar Rumunija neku korist (oni koji su gradili nisam siguran da će ikad koristiti za namenu) ili lokalna zajednica od nekih para.
