Dozens of Taliban members entered the Afghan capital on Saturday. They were unarmed and were met with greetings and hugs by civilians and soldiers in a ceasefire attempt for the Eid holiday.
The militants, some wearing traditional headgear, went through the streets of Kabul carrying their flags and urging locals to come forward and take selfies with them.

US plans to replace Afghan Mi-17s with Black Hawks have met new “challenges,” as the Russian military choppers are superior, according to a Pentagon report. On the bright side, “private contractors” will be busy maintaining them.
The revelation has been made by the Lead Inspector General in a quarterly report on Operation Freedom's Sentinel – the current code name for the16-year-plus deployment of US troops in Afghanistan.

The decision to supply Kabul with some 160 refurbished UH-60A Black Hawk helicopters was expected to significantly boost the capabilities of the Afghan Air Force and would contribute to breaking or fully break the “stalemate” in the country.

Green Berets, Afghan Special Forces Capture ISIS 'Capital'

No Americans or Afghan troops were killed in the offensive, which the U.S. military said killed 167 fighters from the Islamic State group, also known as ISIS or Daesh, and involved a complex multi-pronged attack on Gurgoray, a town purported to be the group's capital in Deh Bala district in Nangarhar province.

В начале июля 2018 года сайт «Радио Азатлык» опубликовал сообщение о длительном бое на границе Афганистана и Туркменистана, произошедшем во второй половине июня между бандой контрабандистов и силами пограничной охраны.
Издание сообщило о том, что перестрелка продолжалась около шести часов и в ее ходе погибло 25 туркменских военных, в основном, уроженцы Балканского и Дашогузского велаятов Туркмении.

Sto tako licno ? Vojnik ide gde mu se kaze, nema privilegiju da razmislja o svetskoj politici nego kaze razumem I radi ono sta mu je duznost I uglavnom je sirotinja u USA. Bez obzira na idiote koji vode usa politiku I sve lose stvari koje cine po svetu bez veze je pisati "lepa vest poginuo vojnik". Tim bolje sto ga je verovatno ubio ISIS.

Kako lično, ja mu ni ime ne znam. On je vojnik SAD i kao takvog mi je drago što je poginu, njega pojedinca sa imenom i prezimenom žalim. Ubili su ga "borci za slobodu Avganistana" tako sam na drugom mestu video.
