Grcima isporucen 60-ti F-16V
Citat:Lockheed Martin and the Hellenic Aerospace Industry (HAI) delivered the 60th F-16V fighter aircraft delivered to the Hellenic Air Force.
In 2017, the U.S. approved a $2 billion sale of 123 upgrade kits to Greece to bring Hellenic Air Force's existing F-16C and D fighter jets up to the new F-16V (Block 72) standard. Following the approval, Greece decided to upgrade its 84 aircraft in 2018, with the country receiving its first upgraded jets in 2022.
The upgrade work is being carried out at HAI’s facilities in Tanagra with the support of specialized Lockheed Martin teams. The upgrades include the integration of new APG-83 SABR AESA radar, upgraded avionics with a modern mission computer, enhanced cockpit displays, and new electronic warfare suites.
The remaining aircraft are at various stages of the upgrade process, with deliveries scheduled to continue through 2027.
