Citat:The Marshall Islands-flagged oil tanker, M/T Talara, was ambushed and seized this morning by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the Gulf of Omen, after departing earlier from the Port of Ajman in the United Arab Emirates, for a short journey to Singapore.
The British maritime risk management group Vanguard reported that the Talara was surrounded by three fast-boats with the IRGC near the Strait of Hormuz roughly 20NM from the coast of the UAE, before contact was lost with the tanker and it deviated course heading in the direction of Iran.
