There’s no official cause yet, just “distress signal” per TASS, after takeoff near Kos in Greece.

The deal reflects ongoing defense cooperation between the two nations and ensures Canada maintains its heavy-lift air mobility capabilities.

The proposed sale includes a wide range of support elements such as aircraft modifications, maintenance support equipment, and ground handling systems. It also covers spare parts, consumables, repair and return services, as well as classified and unclassified software, publications, and technical documentation. The package further includes engineering, logistics, and technical assistance from both U.S. government and contractor personnel, underscoring the scale and complexity of the sustainment effort.
