Citat:On 13 June 1956, Pakistan Air Force embarked on a transformative journey with the induction of the F-86F Sabre fighter jets. Procured under the United States Military Assistance Program, a total of 102 F-86 Sabres were delivered to Pakistan, becoming the backbone of PAF and replacing aging aircraft such as the Hawker Sea Fury and the Supermarine Attacker. Renowned for its superior agility and formidable firepower, the Sabre was equipped with six .50 caliber machine guns and capable of carrying rockets, bombs and Sidewinder air-to-air missiles.
