The Citation Excel 560XL and the PC-24 are only partially suitable for long-duration flights which prompted a fleet review in February. The decision to sell the PC-24 (acquired in 2019) was made as it was rarely used.
Before delivery, the PC-24 jet will be brought up to civilian standard and the military registration (T-786) will be deleted from the Swiss Air Force's register.

New PC-24 version announced
Citat:Pilatus Aircraft announced on 10 October 2023 the launch of a new version of its PC-24 bizjet. The manufacturer revealed this new version has increased range and increased payload. There is a 272 kilograms increase in full fuel payload and maximum payload capacity.

The range of the PC-24 has been extended by 370 kilometres to 3,704, with a payload of six passengers. The modifications also include a new Predictive Maintenance system. After every flight, key aircraft data is forwarded to Pilatus who will then issue recommendations if necessary.

On 17 December 2025, Stephan Widmer photographed the first Pilatus PC-24 for the Aéronautique Navale (French Navy) at Stans.
The business jet, registered F-HJAH and assigned future serial 619 (c/n 619), already displays the unit markings of its new operator, Escadrille 57S. The unit is based at Base d’aéronautique navale (BAN) Landivisiau and currently operates a fleet of six Falcon 10MER aircraft.

The Indonesian Ministry of Defense has selected the PC-24 to support the Indonesian Air Force transport pilot training, air transport and liaison missions. A contract for twelve PC-24s has been signed with PT E-System Solutions Indonesia, the authorized defense contractor by the Ministry of Defense. The contract includes an option for additional aircraft, ground support equipment, tools, spare parts, training, and technical support from Pilatus headquarters in Stans, Switzerland.
