Citat:The framework agreement for the export of Türkiye’s KAAN National Combat Aircraft to Indonesia has been valued at 15 billion US dollars.
Speaking on the matter, TUSAŞ CEO Mehmet Demiroğlu stated that the KAAN fighter jet sale to Indonesia will be structured in three phases.
He explained that the first phase, which is the framework agreement, has already been signed and carries a value of 15 billion dollars.
According to Demiroğlu, the signing of the second and third phases is planned for 2026, after which the program will move forward in full.
He further noted that Indonesia has requested the KAAN in a configuration powered by an indigenous engine and free from ITAR restrictions, indicating that Jakarta prefers to wait until a fully ITAR-free, domestically powered version of the aircraft is available.
