Taiwanese MQ-9B flies in Taiwan
Citat:The first General Atomics MQ-9B SkyGuardian for the Republic of China Air Force (RoCAF, Taiwan Air Force) made its first flight in Taiwan on 14 September 2026.

The aircraft, serial 9101, was photographed during the flight from Hualien Air Base, where the first two Taiwanese MQ-9Bs have been assembled and prepared for local operations.

Taiwan ordered four MQ-9Bs from the US under a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programme valued at approximately USD 684 million. The package includes the aircraft, ground control stations and associated equipment. The MQ-9Bs will provide the ROCAF with a long-endurance intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) capability for monitoring air and maritime activity around Taiwan.
