Canada to beef up Cormorant fleet
Citat:After a lengthy negotiation process, the Canadian government has signed a contract for the upgrade of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) CH-149 Cormorant fleet. CH-149 Cormorant is the Canadian designation for the Leonardo (formerly EHI) AW101 helicopter, which is in use for Search and Rescue (SAR) missions in Canada.
The contract, worth CAD 1,24 billion (USD 910 million), calls for the upgrade of the helicopters to the latest standard and the purchase of three additional helicopters.

Delivery first Polish Merlin
Citat:On 7 August 2023, the first Leonardo AW101 Merlin maritime helicopter for the Lotnictwo Marynarki Wojennej (LMW, Polish Navy) was delivered to Poland. The AW101, still registered ZR288 (c/n 50288), made a fuel stop at Rotterdam-The Hague airport.
Originally the Polish Navy planned to acquire eight AW101s to replace its ageing Mi-14 helicopters currently operated by the 44 Baza Lotnictwa Morskiego (44.BLotM) at Darłowo air base.
