Prolazim ulicom juce i pricaju dvojica o ispravnosti ili bolje receno operativnosti HRZ Kajova. Kazu da je vec napeto. Mada, cuce se vec...
Inace, kad pomenuh Kajove, setih se da mi se jedan susjed malo pre isporuke Kajova HRZ-u smejao, ustvari rugao, kako taj helikopter zovem "Kajova". Valjda aludirajuci da se izgovara drugacije. I sve objasnjavajuci mi kako kako nema bolje masine u poznatom delu kosmosa, a verovatno i sire, iako je moja konstatacija bila da je to solidna nabavka za HRZ, da daje potpuno nove mogucnosti, koje na Balkanu prakticno nema niko, da ce na kraju da kosta mnogo, ali jbg. Sve kosta.

Pa njihovo sve je uvek najbolje u ovoj galaksiji, setite se samo onog proseravanja oko ful operativne eskadrile remontiranih Mig-21...i sta je na kraju ispalo

Hellenic Army finalises OH-58D Kiowa Warrior helicopter deal
Citat:Minister of National Defence Panos Kammenos on 3 May confirmed Hellenic Army Aviation plans to acquire 70 ex-US Army Bell OH-58D Kiowa Warrior helicopters.
The helicopters will be transferred in the autumn of 2018 at a cost of USD44.1 million financed through Foreign Military Sales funding.
Of the total, 36 have a complete communications/navigation/weapons suite and are therefore fully operational. Another 24 have a basic communications/navigation suite and will be used for training by the Joint (Tri-Service) Helicopter Training School, to be set up soon. The remaining 10 will be used for spare parts.
Besides the helicopters, the deal includes maintenance trainers, spare parts, and technical training.

Croatian Air Force instructor pilots have started to train the next group of OH-58D Kiowa Warrior pilots
Citat: The Eskadrila Helicoptera (EH, Helicopter Squadron) is currently in the 'limited operational'-phase on the Kiowa Warrior, but it will become fully operational by the end of 2018. The Croatian Air Force received its last of sixteen OH-58Ds plus one instructional airframe in December 2016. A team of US Army instructor pilots test-flew the helicopters starting in April 2017 and then trained eight Croatian instructor pilots during that same year, totalling over a thousand flying hours in seven months.
The Kiowa Warriors can be equipped with .50 caliber machine guns, Hydra 70mm rockets and AGM-114 Hellfire missiles. Croatian pilots have not yet fired the Hellfire missile, but that will happen later this year when they receive these weapons.
