Citat:On 14 February 2023, the Ejército de República Dominicana (ERD, Dominican Republic Army) received two Bell TH-67A Creek helicopters. The two Creeks, a Bell 206B variant, were formerly operated by the 1-223rd Aviation Regiment at Fort Rucker (AL) with the US Army. They will be used to enhance the army’s capabilities in the border area with neighbouring Haiti.
The helicopters of the Dominican Republic Army are operated by the 1er Escuadrón de Caballeria Aérea (1st squadron of the air cavalry), which operates its assets in two company’s, A and B. The fleet is made up of the survivors of eight former US Army OH-58A/C Kiowas, delivered in 2003, and a handful of Robinson R22 Betas and R44 Ravens in stunning camouflage colours out of Santo Domingo – Higuero / Dr Joaquin Belaguer airport.
