Poland has signed agreements with Boeing to develop what is expected to become Europe’s largest service and support centre for AH-64 Apache helicopters. The facility could also provide maintenance and support services for Apache fleets operated by other European countries.

In 2024, Poland awarded a contract worth approximately $10 billion, covering 96 AH-64E Apache Guardian attack helicopters along with weapons, logistics and associated support. The first helicopters are scheduled to arrive in Poland in 2028, with deliveries expected to be completed by 2030.

Citat:Boeing has signed offset implementation agreements with Poland's WZL-1 and WCBKT to establish long-term industrial cooperation supporting Polish Armed Forces' AH-64E Apache helicopter fleet.

The signing ceremony took place at the WZL-1 facility in Łódź on August 11.

Under the agreements, Boeing will support WZL-1 (Wojskowe Zakłady Lotnicze Nr 1 S.A.) as they start to support the AH-64E attack helicopters of the Polish Armed Forces. The center will provide MRO services, including organizational- and intermediate-level inspections and repairs, as well as selected depot-level component repairs.
Boeing and WCBKT (Military Central Bureau of Design and Technology S.A.) will evaluate selected WCBKT ground support equipment for use with the Apache helicopter. This effort will assess the feasibility of Polish engineering solutions in support of the combat helicopters and help inform their future role in the Apache sustainment program.
Poland has contracted for 96 AH-64E Apache helicopters, and is set to become the world’s second-largest Apache operator after the United States.
