BRUSSELS COURT FORCES POLAND AND ROMANIA TO PAY €2 BILLION FOR COVID VACCINES THEY DIDN’T WANT
Citat:A Brussels court has ruled that Poland and Romania must pay €2 billion for COVID vaccines ordered by the EU during the pandemic.
Both countries had refused to make further payments after demand collapsed and millions of doses went unused.
This is yet another case of the EU ordering huge quantities of vaccines centrally on behalf of member states — and then forcing Eastern European countries to foot the bill when things went wrong.
Poland and Romania tried to stop the payments when it became clear the vaccines were no longer needed, but the court has now ruled against them.
