Citat:According the website of Hurriyet Daily News, the Turkish Defense Company Otokar is now ready to start the mass production of the first local-made main battle tank (MBT) called Altay. The Altay is set to become one of the world's advanced main battle tank and the backbone of the Turkish Armed Forces.

“If we are assigned to the task, we are ready to fulfill all the obligations with the highest sensitivity and ambition in the Altay tank project, which is Turkey’s biggest land systems project,” Anadolu Agency quoted Otokar’s board chairman, Ali Koç, as saying on April 3.

“We are ready for the job, with our human resource, from the subcontractor to our workers, experience, abilities and our passion to serve the best for our country,” said the chairman.

Company Otokar from Turkey to submit final offer to start mass production of Altay main battle tank

"Following our initial offer in January, we submitted our final offer early today upon the request by the SSM. As the maker of the 100 percent domestic-made battle tank, we are ready for the job with our human resources, experience and know-how" Otokar CEO Serdar Görgüç said, adding that the company also eyed meeting similar needs for Turkey's friendly and allied counties in the future.

“This work should be viewed as going beyond an engine for the [Altay] tank,” said Serdar Ozyurt, general manager for Delta Defence, Ukroboronprom’s Turkish partner. “Our goal is to complete the research and development work for a national diesel engine with full technical support from Ukroboronprom.”

Citat: Defense Minister Fikri Isik has said Turkey will start mass production of its main battle tank in May this year.
Speaking at an opening ceremony of a hospital in northwestern Sakarya province Tuesday, Isik said the Altay battle tank had passed all its tests successfully by the end of February.
“We will push the button on mass production in May. We will have a decision about Altay tank's mass production in May if nothing goes wrong," he said.

kako su samo resili proizvodnju motora.
austrijanci su ih odhebali ( AVL nisu hteli da isporuce ni licencu i planirana suradnja je prekinuta)
turci su trazili partnere u US, E, CND, J, D, na spisku su bili I rusi I ukrainci..
izgleda da ovi zadnji najvise trebaju pare, mozda se desi I neki ugovor.
Tumosan, fabrika turska koja treba da proizvodi ove motore , jacinje preko 1500 hp, do sada je proizvodila motore za poljoptivredne masine I traktore ispod 115 hp. Bez ozbiljnog partnera turci tesko da ce sami sklopiti motor za altay.
.. prva serija altaya bice opremljena sa nemackim motorima MTU, jer za sada turci nemaju resenje za motor.

ps:nego, , radi li ona Rakovica jos uvek ili treba neki ocajni turcin da ulozi ... ?
