On April 8, 1940, the British destroyer Glowworm, stopping to save a sailor who fell overboard, lagged behind the main forces of the squadron and collided with a group of German ships in the heavy cruiser Admiral Hipper and 5 destroyers. Despite significant power imbalances, the destroyer commander, Lieutenant Commander Roop, accepted the battle. Hiding behind a smokescreen, the Glowworm fired torpedoes on the cruiser, from which it had to dodge. Anti-torpedo maneuvers made it difficult to fire at the destroyer, but there were hits in it (in particular, a 203-mm projectile destroyed a radio room).

Stariji forumasi se verovatno secaju sovjetskog pilota Belenkova i prebega u Japan sa tada revolucionarnim Mig-25. Ako se ne varam, pocetkom '70-tih.
Japanski i americki avio strucnjaci ga temeljno istrazuju.
