Textron’s ATAC unit wins $7.82 million contract for F-16 chase services
Citat:Airborne Tactical Advantage Company, a unit of Textron Inc., secured a task order worth up to $7.82 million to provide chase flight support services for F-16 aircraft under the Foreign Military Sales program, the company announced Aug. 18.
The 27-month contract with the Defense Contract Management Agency calls for ATAC to supply contractor-owned aircraft that will fly alongside F-16s during first flights and product assurance testing at Donaldson Field in Greenville, South Carolina. Operations are scheduled to begin in August and continue for approximately two years.

Citat:State-owned defence conglomerate Denel is facing a $7 million (R124 million) lawsuit from US company Draken International for failing to deliver nine of 12 Cheetah fighter jets ordered in 2017 for adversary air training.
On 19 August, Draken International in the Florida Middle District Court sued Denel Aeronautics for breach of contract over an alleged failure to fulfill a $35.2 million (R624 million) aircraft sale agreement.
The complaint, brought by Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and Stearns Weaver Miller Weissler Alhadeff & Sitterson, alleges that Denel delivered only three of 12 contracted Cheetah aircraft over seven years, owing Draken $7.1 million in advance payments plus damages. Draken apparently paid Denel $12.7 million (R225 million) under the project.

The agreement is valued at up to €420 million and represents a major commitment to long-term operational training support for Germany’s armed forces.
The new contract, officially titled Vertrag Schnelle Flugzieldarstellung (Contracted Fast Adversary Air), builds on more than a decade of cooperation between Top Aces and the Bundeswehr. Under this agreement, Top Aces will deliver mission-critical adversary air training to the German Air Force, Army, and Navy, enhancing readiness across all three services.
