Sistem Howler sa protivdronskim presretačima Coyote Block 1B

S obzirom da je „dron protiv drona“ u modi ovih dana, vredi se podsetiti da je američka vojska operativno rasporedila sistem Howler Counter-sUAS pre više od 5 godina. Howler je upario KuRFS AESA radarski sistem i "protivdronski presretač" Coyote Block 1B, opremljen sa blizinskim osiguračem.

U stvari, američki marinci (USMC) su postavili Coyote Block 1B optimizovan za protivdronska dejstva čak i pre američke vojske. Nudeći ograničenu taktičku korisnost zbog svoje male brzine i dugog vremena leta, vojska je od tada prešla na mnogo bržu konfiguraciju sa protivdronskim presretačima Coyote Block 2+.

Coyote, Roadrunner Loitering Drone Interceptors To Arm U.S. Navy Destroyers

Citat:Military.com was the first to report on the planned integration of the combat-proven Coyote and the Roadrunner-M, which the U.S. military is buying steadily more of, onto Navy Arleigh Burke class destroyers. This has come in response, at least in part, to lessons learned from U.S. operations against Iranian-backed Houthi militants in and around the Red Sea. Since October 2023, the Houthis have been launching long-range kamikaze drones, as well as cruise and ballistic missiles, at foreign warships and commercial vessels, as well as targets in Israel.

“We’re going to be deploying the Ford Strike Group with two additional missile systems on our destroyers – the Roadrunner system and the Coyote system – both specifically designed to go after UAVs [uncrewed aerial vehicles],” Navy Adm. Daryl Caudle, head of U.S. Fleet Forces Command, told reporters last week, according to Military.com

Raytheon počinje proizvodnju dronova presretača u UAE

Raytheon je potpisao sporazum sa Savetom Tavazuna UAE za početak proizvodnje svog presretača Coyote protiv bespilotnih letelica (C-UAS) u Ujedinjenim Arapskim Emiratima.

Porodica Coyote uključuje višestruke efektore koji se mogu pokrenuti, poznate kao LE varijante, koje su dizajnirane da podrže niz misija, uključujući nadzor, precizan udar, elektronsko ratovanje i komunikacije.

Pored C-UAS operacija, Raytheon je primetio da Coyote LE podržava angažovanja izvan vidnog polja, povećavajući svest na bojnom polju i isporučujući tražene efekte u spornim okruženjima.
