Talon rockets score four-from-four in MD 530G II helo integration trials
Citat:Raytheon Company and MD Helicopters Inc (MDHI) have successfully test-fired the Talon laser-guided rocket from the latest-variant MD 530 Little Bird reconnaissance and light attack helicopter, it was announced on 31 July.
Four of the 70 mm (2.75 inch) Talon rockets were fired from an MD 530G II at the Yuma Proving Ground in Arizona as part of a wider effort to integrate the weapon system onto the helicopter. According to Raytheon, the shots resulted in a 100% success rate.
