KINESKI borbeni avioni "šenjang J-11" i "sijan JH-7" lete iznad Vudi ostrva, jednog od onih oko koga se spori više azijskih država, u Južnom kineskom moru - tvrde američki zvaničnici.
Prošle nedelje Kina je potvrdila da je postavila na istom ostrvu rakete zemlja-vazduh dometa od oko 200 kilometara, ističući da je to njeno suvereno pravo.
Nekoliko dana kasnije vašingtonski Centar za strateške i međunarodne studije objavio je satelitske snimke, tvrdeći da Peking instalira radarski sistem visoke frekvencije na arhipelagu Spratlis, šireći sposobnost nadzora kretanja u Južnom kineskom moru.
Treba dodati da je američki državni sekretar Džon Keri trebalo da se sastane sa kineskim šefom diplomatije Jia Vangom, ali je taj sastanak naprasno otkazan i još nije poznato koja ga je strana otkazala

China moved 16 Shenyang J-11 advanced fighter aircraft to Woody Island on April 7, said the defense official, who requested anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the issue publicly. He said such a large deployment was “unprecedented,” though it’s not the first time China has sent fighter jets to Woody Island, the largest landmass in the Paracel Islands, which are situated in the hotly disputed South China Sea region.
