Citat:In an apartment in the center of Moscow, retired Colonel General Stanislav Petrov was found dead. He was the founder of Russia’s Radiation, Chemical, and Biological Protection Troops and played a key role in the development of the heavy flamethrower system TOS-1 “Buratino.”

His relatives discovered the body around 7 a.m. on May 2. According to the preliminary version, he died by suicide. A pistol was found next to the general’s body. The former military commander was 87 years old.
