Privatna kompanija kupuje 4-8 T-50A, a USAF ce ih uzeti od njih na lizing za potrebe obuke
Citat:South Korean aircraft manufacturer KAI said Monday that the US Air Force is planning to rent a small number of KAI’s advanced T-50A trainer jets until new trainer jets arrive from Boeing, the winner of the T-X trainer contest.
According to a notice posted online by the US General Services Administration in January, the US Air Combat Command plans to contract Hillwood Aviation to provide four to eight of KAI’s T-50A Golden Eagle advanced jet trainer aircraft to help its aviators develop relevant tactical skills before they begin their formal training with the Boeing T-7A Red Hawk.
“Though KAI lost the competition in 2018 to a consortium comprising Boeing and Saab, the lease of four to eight T-50A trainer jets is being reviewed as they are already operational and being exported,” a KAI official said.
“When Hillwood Aviation purchases T-50A trainer jets, they will be leased to the US Air Force. The pricing for each jet is under negotiation.”

Thailand drops purchase of 2 T-50TH jets to channel funds for COVID-19 recovery
Citat:The Thai government has decided not to buy two T-50TH advanced jet trainers made by Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI).The South East Asian country was suppose to buy two jets to increase the fleet to 14 aircraft.
The decision to drop the purchase was made so that funds from the defense budget could be allocated to help tackle the COVID-19 crises.

South Korea's ADD to study possible upgrades for FA-50 light attack aircraft

He added that current FA-50 users can still benefit from the software upgrade and that no physical modifications are to be made to the aircraft. Shin estimates each aircraft to have a list price ranging between $35 and $40 million.

Block 20 will give the FA-50 the capability to conduct beyond-visual-range air-to-air missions, carrying munitions such as the AIM-120 AMRAAM. As with the Block 10, there is no requirement to modify the radar of the FA-50. Shin said that the principal challenge is to find a way to increase the power output of the Elta EL/M-2032 fire-control radar to extend its range from 70 kilometers (43.5 statute miles) to more than 100 km (62 sm).

6 vaznih komponenata ove letelice proizvodi se u Britaniji, koja je davnih dana uvela embargo Argentini.
Ovo je dobro naravoucenije i za Srbiju: naredni avion koji bude nabavila Vojska Srbije mora biti nacionalni avion, tj. kompletno proizveden u drzavi koja ga i nudi. Ovakvih letelica nema puno, tu su samo Amerika, Francuska (Rafale), Rusija (MiG/Su), Kina (J-10C).
