Lithuania Becomes Largest JLTV Operator Outside US With 500 Vehicles Received
Citat:Lithuania has taken delivery of 500 US-made Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTVs) as part of a foreign military sale with the US in 2019.
Vilnius confirmed the milestone after receiving the final two units in mid-February from American automotive company Oshkosh Defense.
With the full fleet in service, the Baltic state is now the largest JLTV operator outside the US.
Shipment of the vehicles was carried out in two phases, with 200 platforms in the first and 300 in the second.

Citat:Slovakia has received its first JLTV 4x4.

The first of 160 ordered Oshkosh M1278A1/A2 Heavy Gun Carriers Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) vehicles have arrived in Slovakia. Slovakia ordered these vehicles back in 2023 thanks to a donation of 200 million USD from the United States as compensation for assistance to Ukraine. The total price of approximately 190 million USD will be paid by the United States from the Foreign Military Financing (FMF) program.
110 JLTV 4x4 vehicles should be equipped with the M153 CROWS RWS and the remaining 50 with a manned turret.
The final assembly of the vehicles is taking place in Slovakia, including the installation of communication and information systems.
