Citat:The Estonian Centre for Defence Investments (ECDI) has signed contracts to supply the Estonian Defence Forces with 224 Turkish armoured vehicles for €220 million.
Specifically, 112 Otokar Arma 6x6 APCs for €130 million and 112 Nurol Makina NMS 4x4 IMVs for €90 million.
The new armoured vehicles will be adapted to the specific needs of the Estonian Defence Forces and will be armed with 12.7mm heavy machine gun. The vehicles will serve with 1st and 2nd Infantry Brigades.
janezek67 ::Neznam zašto nisu išli zajedno sa Fincima i Litvancima u nabavku Patrije 6x6. Cena ovih Turskih &x& i nije toliko jeftinija, Patrija 6x6 ima sličan oklop i po mome je kvalitetnija od Turske 6x6.
Malo sam prešao podatke oba vozila.
Ipak se može Arma kvalifikovati za IFV dok je Patria 6x6 čisti transporter.
Arma je u osnovnoj varianti bolje oklopljena, ima jači motor i nosi teže topovsko naoružanje te ima više opreme. Arma se može uspoređivati sa recimo Pandurom EVO, koji je znatno skuplji.
Estnonija več ima IFV (CV90) pa će Arma preuzeti ulogu borbenog transportera. Znači da može i u mehanizovane jedinice.
Estonska armija dobro razmišlja. U arsenalu imaju skupe CV90 kao klasičan srednji oklop (IFV) i jeftine Arme kao mobilniji i brži lakši srednji oklop pa je suma sumarum njihovog oklopa prihvatljiva za njihov BDP.
