US refuses replacement F-16s to Bulgaria, recommends MiG-29s

Strašno nepoštovanje kupca: avioni plaćeni odmah (2019),isporuka odložena sa 4 na 7 godina ("zbog korone" ), nema dozvole za prodaju ili lizing polovnih (iako ima obučenih pilota), a povreda vazdušnog prostora od strane VKS, 2 puta mesečno, zahteva dizanje polu-ispravnih '29-ki i mogući udes, jer im se motori održavaju na "pomozi Bože", a ne na stvarnom održavanju i popravci...
Jadni bugari (ako tako mogu da kažem), glavni saveznik ih ne jebe 2%...

^ Nažalost ni Gripeni zbog hirovitosti švedske politike nisu pametna opcija za Bugare. Možda bi najbolje uradili da uzmu FA-50 i sačekaju kako će se geostrateška politika rasplesti, pa se onda uzme neki potentniji lovac. Svakako bi odustao od posla sa amerikancima zbog kršenja ugovora, naravno ako ugovor to uopšte dozvoljava, ko zna što su kilavi Bugari potpisali kad ih onako prcaju.

Ekomomski slabe male države kupuju sofisticirane lovce a da nikada neće iskoristiti ni 50% potenciala njihovog naoružanja.

Ipak potpisase sa poljacima za sredjivanje 6 motora za 29-ke

The total price for the overhaul is EUR 9.552 million (BGN 18.682 million) excluding excise duty and VAT.

Hoce nove radare
Lockheed, Leonardo, 3 Other Firms Vie for Bulgaria’s New Military Radars
Citat:Five defense companies are vying to clinch a 400-million lev ($221.7 million) contract to produce Bulgaria’s new military surveillance radars.
The Balkan nation has been looking for a potential supplier of the new 3D radars to improve the protection of its airspace and NATO’s eastern flank.
Lockheed Martin from the US, Leonardo from Italy, Elta from Israel, and Indra from Spain are all bidding for the project.
France’s Thales is also offering its solutions to the Bulgarian defense ministry.
According to Bulgarian Air Force Chief of Staff Colonel Dimitar Georgiev, the country is expected to receive its new radar in 2025 if a contract is signed later this year.

Citat:Czech company @AERO_Vodochody has concluded a contract for the overhaul and partial modernization of 2 Bulgarian L-39ZA Albatros aircraft, including the repair of the AI-25TL engines, which will be carried out by LOM Praha.

During the partial modernisation, mainly the original Russian avionics will be replaced with Western ones, thus modernising navigation, communication, identification and recording equipment.
The overhaul itself will restore the aircraft's maintenance interval to 7.5 years or 1,500 flight hours.

Already in January 2023, the first two Bulgarian L-39ZAs were transferred to Aero for overhaul and partial modernization, now two more are following.
The contract is based on a framework agreement that was concluded in November 2022 and is valid for four years.

Bulgaria to open its airspace for Turkish Aircraft
Citat:The “Memorandum of Agreement for cross-border air space security operations” was signed by both of the ministers in that meeting. The sources in The National Defense Ministry shared the details below about the mentioned memorandum:
“Cross-border air space security operations agreement memorandums are to enable the aircrafts on duty for aerial policing to do hot pursuit by crossing the border of another country to prevent the aerial threats. These agreements are signed by neighbouring NATO countries, bilateral or trilateral and recommended by NATO. This memorandum enables Turkiye to fly into Bulgarian air space for hot pursuit when conducting air security missions along the Turkish-Bulgarian border.”
