Breaking: F-35A Lightning II for Switzerland
Citat:On 30 June 2021, the Swiss Federal Council officially announced that the Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II has been selected in the New Fighter Aircraft competition.
Switzerland will buy 36 F-35As, as according to a government spokesperson, the evaluation showed that the Lightning II has "the highest overall benefit at the lowest overall cost."
Citat:With the selection of the new fighter, the Swiss government also decided to buy the Patriot surface-to-air missile system from the US manufacturer Raytheon. "The Federal Council is confident that these two systems are the most suitable for protecting the Swiss population from air threats in the future," the government said in a statement.
The F-35A Lightning II "achieved the best result because it has a marked technological advantage over the other candidates", while he total costs for the F-35A, at 15.5 billion Swiss Francs, was 2 billion Swiss Francs cheaper than the next lowest bidder, when it came to buying and operating the aircraft over their 30-year lifespan.

Швајцарци су прошле године на референдуму већином од свега 9.000 гласова (50,1%) одобрили да влада може да потроши 6 милијарди франака (6,5 милијарди долара) на авионе. Откуд сада куповина од 15,5 милијарди франака?

Švajcarci....
Prošli mesec su se završila EU-Švajcarska dogovori u vezi novog sporazuma. Sveukupno je to trajalo 7 godina. I to tako, da su Švajcarci rekli ne. To nama ne treba. Stari sporazum je dovoljan za nas.
Bilokakve analize na tu temu nema nigde. Koliko je to važno, Švajcarska je odlučila, da EU jim neće biti gazda pa i u vojnom smislu.

Nije kupovina od 15 milijardi već su, prilikom procene, računali pored troškova kupovine i troškove korišćenja za čitav deklarisani životni vek aviona, pa ovi navodno ispadoše jeftiniji. Sad, da li su računali na osnovu deklarisanih troškova i kakp su ih proverili je već drugo pitanje.

Swiss MPs to Probe Decision to Buy F-35 Fighters
Citat:A Swiss parliamentary committee said Tuesday it would probe the government’s decision to purchase 36 Lockheed Martin F-35A fighter jets to replace its aging fleet.

The management scrutiny committee of the National Council lower house of parliament decided to investigate “the legality and advisability of certain aspects of the evaluation procedure taken for choosing the Swiss military’s new combat aircraft”, it said in a statement.

A sub-committee will start work in February and publish its findings “in due course.”
