Jakarta: A small plane crashed and burst into flames during an air show in the Indonesian city of Bandung on Friday.
The pilot - the only person aboard the single-engine aircraft - was rushed to hospital in a critical condition, said Asni Wati, the spokesman for Bandung's international airport.
The Super Decathlon was apparently flying too low when it came in for landing, clipping its wing on the runway and then spinning out of control, Saleh Sudrajat, a pilot at the scene, told Metro TV.
The crash was seen by hundreds of school children who were at the air show.
The accident occurred on the second day of the show, which was celebrating the 200th anniversary of the city of Bandung, which is 80 miles (120 kilometres) southeast of the capital, Jakarta.
