Citat:The UK Ministry of Defense has discovered that the Royal Navy’s new fleet of spy drones, being operated by elements of the Royal Marines since March, have been secretly transmitting information from the drone’s primary camera to China, according to an investigation from The Telegraph.

Components of the camera on the K3 Scout, a 27-foot-long multirole uncrewed surface vessel (drone boat) built by Kraken Technology in the United Kingdom, were produced in and secretly transmitting data to a device in China. An investigation into the drones revealed that the cameras were transmitting “heartbeat communications” – data to confirm they were online and functioning normally – to an IP address in China.

Citat:Babcock has supplied its Nomad AI-powered signal intelligence (SIGINT) platform to the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD).

The contract fulfils an urgent operational requirement for the UK’s Armed Forces.
Nomad is Babcock's first fully AI-powered product designed to support military and security teams on the front line in contested environments, particularly for personnel undertaking Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions. The platform provides new connected capabilities and enhances situational awareness, delivering mission advantage around and on the battlefield.
Nomad can clean, transcribe, translate and analyse enemy and target voice and text, delivering instant actionable insights across any domain, anywhere in the world. The system reduces dependence on linguists in the field by enabling operators to understand enemy communications at the edge in real-time, building a detailed picture of a target’s position, movements and capabilities for better intelligence and on-the-spot operational advantage.
