Citat:Yesterday the Bundestag Budget committee has approved the budget for 6 IRIS-T SLM batteries worth 950 million €.
The first payment for Arrow-3 was also approved for the adaptation of the system to BW requirements worth 560 million €.
The 6 IRIS-T SLM batteries are expected to be delivered from 2024 to 2027.

Arrow-3 will be contracted by end of year at which point the rest of the estimated 4 billion € price will be budgeted.

Leopoard 2A8:
Budget for 18 units and the full R&D cost of the platform at 525.6 million € has been approved.
Delivery will take place between August 2025 and June 2026.
Under contract KNDS must guarantee 60% readiness rate of the platform with the Bundeswehr. It is expected that follow up contracts for the Bundeswehr will follow in the coming years.
International interest in the platform also exists with Czechia looking at up to 70 hulls and Italy reportedly being in talks for 125 to 250 hulls. The Netherlands and Lithuania are also expected to be future customers of the platform.

PZH2000:
The activation of 2 additional optional tranches has been approved for a total of 12 units at 190,7 million € bringing the full order to 22 units at 374,9 million €. Delivery of the additional 12 units is expected to be between 2027 and 2030.

P-8A Poseidon simulator:
An estimated 180 million € budget has been approved for the purchase of a flight simulator for the P-8A Poseidon Maritime Patrol Aircraft.
