(SA-6, GAINFUL) Anti-Aircraft Missile System
Military tests of the 2K12KUB (SA-6) anti-aircraft missile system upgraded at WZU-2.
Range of modernisation comprises the following:
Modernisation of the 1S91M2 surveillance and tracking station
Modernisation of the 2P25M2 self-propelled launcher
Range of 1S91M2 modernisation:
Installation of the Target Identification System SIC 11 operating in the MARK XII standard. The SIC 11 System is equipped with the AN/TPX-56 Interrogator, which operates in the modes: MOD1, MOD2, MOD3/A, MOD C and MOD 4. The System clearly classifies the plane as "friend" or "foe", at the same time providing the operator with the target distance and azimuth data.
Installation of the long-range thermal camera

Replacement of the KT53-2 television camera and the WPU-44 indicator with a modern CCD camera with a zoom lens and LCD display.
Replacement of TWT tubes in receiving systems with semiconductor amplifiers with low signal-to-noise ratio.
Replacement of the Moving Target Indicator systems constructed on the basis of storage tubes with digital semiconductor system of large scale of integration.
Replacement of energy-consuming tube power supply units voltage up to 300V with modern semiconductor power suppliers furnished with protection system against short-circuit.
Installation of a dehumidifying system in order to store the equipment for a long time and to limit failure frequency due to various atmospheric conditions.

In 1999 WZU Nr 2 was granted the DEFENDER Award at the International Salon of Defence Industry for the modernisation of the 1S91M2-P1 Surveillance and Tracking Station of the 2K12 KVADRAT (SA-6) Anti-Aircraft Missile System
Range of the 2P25M2 launcher modernisation:
Replacement of the 1A18M1 electromechanical and mechanical scaler with a digital computer-controlled scaler.
Replacement of electromechanical and mechanical interface units with the scaler in azimuth, angle and distance with a semiconductor system of large scale of integration.
Replacement of the synchronous communication system with a semiconductor system of large scale of integration.
Replacement of the 19SBM1 autonomous control unit with simplified control function unit.
Replacement of tube gain/amplifiers of azimuth and elevation amplidynes with semiconductor amplifiers.
Replacement of the 12SM power supplier with a modern semiconductor power supplier furnished with protection system against short-circuit.
Replacement of the TWT travelling wave tube with a semiconductor low-noise amplifier.



Izgleda da su Cesi odlucili da modernizuju sistem KUB.
Prvenstveno su neke analogne sisteme digitalizovali, kao na primer SPC i BSO(selekcija pokretnih ciljeva i brisac stalnih odraza).
Verovatno su i kameru(TOV) na RStON-u digitalizovali i ugradili laserski daljinomer, a mozda i termoviziju.
Raketa je ostala standardna M3.

Mislim da bi u ovome trebalo gledati osnovu za modernizaciju naše PVO.

Slazem se sa tobom Tocho. Ali naglasavam da sam izneo plan modernizacije koju su predstavili Poljaci. Siguran sam ako mi planiramo da ista modernizujemo na postojecim raketnim sistemima PVO da moramo prvenstveno da se oslonimo na domace "mozgove" i tehnicke kapacitete, ali o tome nemam validne podatke.
Vidim da favorizujes KUB sistem. Tacno je da ima takticke prednosti u odnosu na S-125 Neva, ali mozda se opredelimo na modernizaciju Neve.
Ne bi hteo da sad odemo u offtopic komentarima koji sistem se pokazao boljim 1999. i ko je sta mogao da uradi a nije, nego da tehnicki objasnimo pravce razvoja postojecih raketnih sistema PVO.

Surfajući naletjeh na ovaj zanimljiv site sa prilično dobrim pregledom ruskih PVO sistema i njihovim osnovnim podatcima.

SpelingMistakes

Jednom sam u jednom časopisu pročitao da su za vrijeme akcije Oluja hrvatske postrojbe zarobile SA-6 Kub protuavionske rakete i lansere ( pisalo je 10 lansera i oko 100 raketa ), ali nisu mogli biti upotrijebljeni, jer su im bili izvađeni čipovi za navođenje, i zbog toga potpuno neupotrebljivi. Da li netko zna nešto o tome?

Koliko ja znam, SA-6 nije imao nikakve chipove. Ja sam radio na Long Track radaru, i znam da je bio zasnovan na elektronskim cevima. Istina, to je bilo '86.-'87. godine, mozda je modernizovan posle, ne znam.

Nije imao čipove, naravno. Samo cijevi, koje su poprilično crkavale, najviše zbog vlage koja je ulazila u Mecku kao kroz sito. Isti je kao i 80-tih godina.
