Poland just received the final 12 of the first 212 K9A1 self-propelled howitzers ordered from South Korea

Full local production in Poland is planned for another 308 K9PL howitzers Poland plans to buy but hasn’t signed contract ms yet for.
In total, Poland plans to operate 672 K9 howitzers.
The Polish is also in possession of around 60 domestically-produced Krab self-propelled howitzers and is in the process buying another 152.
In total, Poland will have nearly 900 top-modern 155 mm self-propelled howitzers, forming Europe’s largest self-propelled artillery force.

Ukrainian artillerymen report that their KRAB SPH barrels have over 7,000 rounds on their records, still remaining accurate and maintaining their firing range.
HSW is preparing to launch production of new barrels for the KRAB 2. These will likely utilize the technology purchased with the licence for the AS90/52 turret system.
Barrel forgings of the new technology can be manufactured domestically at HSJ (located a few kilometers from HSW).
To meet future orders for barrels in various calibers, HSW is building a new barrel production facility.
