Citat:France has reportedly submitted a detailed techno-commercial proposal to India for the supply of 114 Dassault Rafale multi-role fighter aircraft.
Under the proposal, 24 jets will be procured in fly-away condition from the French manufacturer Dassault Aviation and the remaining 90 will be manufactured in India through a collaboration with an Indian company. According to reports, Dassault is partnering with India's Tata Group to establish a Rafale final assembly line (FAL) in the country.
The proposal also includes other partnerships between Rafale suppliers and Indian companies including missile manufacturer MBDA with Larsen & Toubro (L&T), electronics and avionics supplier Thales with the Mahindra Group and engine maker Safran with state-run Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).
In May, India's Ministry of Defence (MoD) issued a Letter of Request (LoR) to the French government for the acquisition under the Multi-Role Fighter Aircraft (MRFA) programme, formally initiating the Government-to-Government (G2G) process. The procurement, worth around ₹3250 billion ($34.16 billion), received approval from the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) in February.

Uvecava se proizvodnja motora za Rafale
Citat:Safran More Than Triples M88 Engine Deliveries as Rafale Production Accelerates.
French aerospace company Safran has more than tripled its deliveries of M88 engines during the first half of 2026 compared with the same period last year, as production of the Rafale fighter jet continues to accelerate.
Safran manufactures the M88 engine that powers the Rafale. The company said the surge in engine deliveries reflects France’s plan to increase Rafale production from two aircraft per month in 2025 to four aircraft per month by 2029.
Safran Chief Financial Officer Pascal Bantegnie confirmed that M88 engine deliveries had more than tripled during the first half of 2026 as Rafale production increased.
The company also indicated that it could generate additional cash flow from ongoing negotiations for the potential supply of 114 Rafale fighter jets to the Indian Air Force.
