Citat: Embraer Defence & Security sees a market for up to 490 A-29 Super Tucano trainer and attack aircraft over the next two decades, Embraer president and CEO Bosco da Costa Jr told Janes on 10 April at the FIDAE 2024 airshow in Santiago, Chile.
“We are in touch with several countries around the world, not only here in South America, but we have some potential [customers] in Africa, in Asia, and in Europe as well,” said da Costa. “We are in advanced conversations with countries in Europe [and] in advanced conversations with countries in Asia. I cannot disclose the countries because the defence procurement process does not allow us to do that. But I assure you that we are now in a final stage in some of them.”

Portugal hoce A-29N Super Tucano

Citat:On 25 June 2024, Portuguese Minister of National Defence Nuno Melo confirmed during a hearing in parliament that the Força Aérea Portuguesa (FAP, Portuguese Air Force) is close to acquiring the Embraer A-29N Super Tucano.
The purchase of the Brazilian-manufactured attack turboprop aircraft is about to be judicially approved. Embraer is offering the A-29N to Portugal. Launched in 2023, it is a version of the Super Tucano with specific instrumentation for NATO countries, such as data link and weapons. If the purchase goes ahead, Portugal will become the first country in Europe to operate the A-29N.
The number of aircraft to be ordered has not been reported.

Embraer sells A-29 Super Tucano to the Uruguayan Air Force
Citat:Embraer today announced the sale of up to six A-29 Super Tucano aircraft to the Uruguayan Air Force (FAU). The contract, which is part of a fleet renew program to expand FAU’s operational capacity, provides for the acquisition of one aircraft plus the commitment to acquire five additional units, with deliveries scheduled from 2025, including mission equipment, integrated logistics services and a flight simulator.
With this order, Uruguay becomes the sixth nation to operate the A-29 Super Tucano in South America along with Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Paraguay.
