Avion koji je sinoć pogođen u Taganrogu bio je jedinstvena, eksperimentalna A-60 leteća laboratorija, zasnovana na transportnom avionu Il-76.
A-60 je razvijen u Sovjetskom Savezu kao nosilac laserskog oružja. Koristio se u eksperimentima za zaslepljivanje i privremeno onesposobljavanje optičkih sistema izviđačkih satelita.
Nakon raspada SSSR, razvoj ovog projekta više puta je zaustavljen, uglavnom zbog nedostatka finansiranja. Radovi su ponovo počeli tokom 2010-ih.
Ukupno su proizvedena dva prototipa i duži niz godina nisu operativni i pokretani sa PSS.

In 2025, 7 new Il-76s were produced, the goal is to reach 12

In 2025, the Aviastar plant (a branch of PJSC Il – Aviastar) in Ulyanovsk produced seven new Il-76MD-90A military transport aircraft . Within the next two years, the plant aims to reach production of 12 of these aircraft per year. Let's look at how Il-76 production volumes have changed since the start of production in Ulyanovsk and the closure of the Tashkent aircraft plant.


The Il-76, in its modern modification, the Il-76MD-90A, differs in its capabilities from the aircraft produced in large quantities in Tashkent during the Soviet era. More than 70% of the aircraft's systems and components have been replaced, and the payload has increased from 40 to 60 tons. However, while the Soviet aircraft factory in Tashkent (the Tashkent Aircraft Production Association named after V.P. Chkalov (TAPOiCh)) was designed for massive production volumes and, for a long time, ensured them through manufacturing cooperation with subcontractors across the USSR, production in Ulyanovsk was established in the late 2000s and early 2010s, when the entire domestic aircraft industry was literally unable to mass-produce large aircraft. By that time, Soviet production chains had been destroyed, and virtually everything had to be started from scratch.

This explains the protracted start, when figures of one or two aircraft per year were the norm. Meanwhile, in 2016 and 2017, for example, not a single aircraft was delivered, but since 2018, the process has finally assumed a stable form. In 2019, three serial Il-76MD-90A aircraft were delivered to the Russian military, three more in 2020, two in 2021 (a new assembly line was being set up that year), five in 2022, six in 2023, six in 2024, and seven in 2025. In 2026, we are clearly expecting at least eight aircraft, and possibly up to ten, and finally, in 2027, the production volume of 12 units should be reached...

Evo pošto je dodatno obrazloženje verovatno potrebno, kako iz ovog teksta saznajemo, nova linija za proizvodnju je uspostavljena 2021. godine u Uljanovsku i od tad postoji kakva-takva stabilna proizvodnja od nekih 6 komada godišnje u proseku. U 2026. se očekuje do 10 a u 2027. godini 12 komada godišnje što je neki plan za rentabilnu proizvodnju, dok je maksimalni kapacitet ove linije 18 komada godišnje.

Domaće potrebe su otprilike tih 12 godišnje, a ostalo bi moglo za izvoz.


Sad, smisao mog pitanja je ima li neko podatak kolika je proizvodnja bila u Taškentu?
Tamo se u fabrici Taškentskog aviozavoda po imenu Čkalova proizvodila većina ovih aviona.
