Tajland modernizuje dva Dornier 228
RUAG International has signed a contract for the modernisation of Royal Thai Navy Dornier 228 maritime patrol aircraft
Citat:RUAG MRO International is comprehensively modernising Dornier 228 aircraft for the Royal Thai Navy. The upgrade includes the installation of glass cockpits and new mission equipment as well as the modernisation of avionics systems.
The Thai Navy uses its Dornier 228 to monitor the exclusive economic zone called the ‘200-mile zone’. The aircraft and their crews conduct ISR (intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance) missions in the territorial waters of the Gulf of Thailand for the purpose of border surveillance to combat illegal trade and fishing.
Initially, RUAG will now be modernising two of the seven aircraft in the Royal Thai Navy Dornier 228 fleet.

Izraelci modifikovali za Nigeriju Cessna Citation CJ3,inace dve su pazarili

Just recently, a modified Cessna Citation CJ3 was noted with Bird Aerosystems in southern Israel. The aircraft, modified with maritime surveillance equipment was painted all grey. Scramble Magazine has knowledge that the customer is the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) and that two Citation CJ3s have been acquired.
When delivered to Nigeria, the Citations will be operated by the 107th Air Maritime Group (Nigerian Air Force) at Benin. This unit also operates the ATR42-500MP maritime patrol aircraft.

France offers Germany four Atlantic 2 maritime patrol aircraft
Citat:The French Armed Force Ministry has offered four Breguet Atlantic 2 planes to plug a looming gap in the German Navy’s anti-submarine capabilities, provided that Berlin springs for modernizing the planes.
“Depending on Germany’s needs, the four planes could be sold once the update to Standard 6 will be taken in charge by Germany,” a French defense spokesperson wrote in an email to Defense News.
